So as you might have already guessed this is my cat. Actually she was "our" cat before my girlfriend left me. She grew up with us in my apartment and since cats tend to bond to their environment instead of the owner she stayed with me

this is so not true, cats are bonding to their owner! if the owner moves, cat will get use to the new place as long as it’s owner is there.
