Working on a daily basis

So the day finally came that I'd get a proper day job. It got to a point where the only thing I was doing regularly was watching movies, playing videogames and listening to music all day long. Another bad case of insomnia soon followed so I'm very thankful to be an upstart in a really cool web development company called Neumatik.

Working together with a longtime friend of mine and his mates as well as being right next to a full blown music production studio is a dream. I can't imagine a better working place right now. Check out the company Neumatik.hr. The owner of the studio is a famous techno artist called Petar Dundov. Anyway the job is now keeping me pretty busy and letting me sleep and eat properly which is a really good thing. Things have been rather busy on the music front as well. After the successful Ozora festival gig I sparked a lot of interest and became part of a booking agency called Human Touch. I'm still part of Interchill Records of course and I can't think of a better label to suit my needs. However since I've started working full time I probably won't have as much free time to take care of bookings so in case you are interested please do so through them. Local gigs are still done by myself though.

And speaking of Local gigs I just came back from a really good one. The spot was the worst possible place you can imagine and there were only a handful of people. Ever since the chill set on Ozora I wanted to do something more, I felt like I hit a brick wall and didn't know where else to take this, so this set was the first time that I tried to beatmix trip hop and glitch hop. It turned out really good but the icing on the cake was the fact that around 30 minutes into the set the guy who did the sound setup came up, took a microphone and started MCing. I was really surprised at first and was worried it would suck (most MCs I've heard sucked balls) but this guy was amazing, he never went over the top and he just made really crazy and trippy sounds on top of the tracks as well as play a drum every once in a while. Was a really fun experience altogether and I hope we get to do it again sometime.

I'm still having issues with uploading my portfolio to Behance so I figure I'll probably drop that, I did open a Soundcloud account however, links are in the footer so check it out. I'm looking forward to December since I will probably have around 4-5 confirmed gigs which is really gonna help me live through the depressing winter period. Things are also heating up regarding the Mafia festival in Tanzania, the date is still so far away but already so much hype is being spread about it. So much for now, I'm not really playing any games at the moment apart from the new Layton game for the DS. Scribblenauts is also fun but kinda wears off pretty fast. Cool idea though.

I will hopefully have a radio gig soon so a fresh set might be up in the music section. if not that then I will surely try and record the set from my upcoming gig in London. Cheers!
